Tuesday Ten {10.13.15} WHITE DONE RIGHT

Have you heard that Benjamin Moore has declared "Simply White" as THE COLOR OF THE YEAR for 2016?!! In recognition or allegiance to "Simply White", today's top ten is all about sharing a little bit of my own love for white and its use in decorating.
In my opinion, not every room can benefit from a fresh coat of white paint...most MOST rooms or elements of the room can. High End decorators have loved white for it's classic sophistication, but I also have to say that I think white looks the most at home in a room when there are interesting architectural elements to play off of. Cookie Cutter, Builders Grade houses are the trickiest to get away with white because there are typically no other added architectural interests to draw off of. I'm a New England girl and there, white is a staple with interiors and exteriors. I've always felt that you can't go wrong with white...that is, if it's the right shade of white.
(And that's a whole other blog post).

When a Color of The Year is selected, it typically translates from home design to fashion, nail color, etc. Follow my top ten links below to be inspired by what has been (I'd say for the last 2 years) the movement from white cabinets to white everything in design!

I'm sharing WHITE DONE RIGHT.
