Anchors Aweigh! TREND ALERT AND GIVEAWAY!

Some people would call the ANCHORS Motif a current trend...I would call it a CLASSIC.
If you're from New England, you've grown up with anchors all over the place..

on your belt:

on your wall as a hook:

and of course, on your boat:
Ship Ahoy!

When I think of Anchors I think literally and metaphorically...anchors represent the sea, obviously a Nautical reference, and all the prep style that goes with Nantucket and any water haven, but they also represent what an ANCHOR stands for:  it's other definition means "security, stability"..i.e. YOU ARE MY ANCHOR, etc.

  6. Totally into the preppy thing and undue out all my polos this summer- LOVE these bracelets - Shrimshaw Landing (orange) is pretty cool - but nothing says nautical better than Navy and white - Peter Wence -Miss the Themes River and watching Bill's boat coming in from a tour with the wind cracking me in the face. Good times. Love following you - now back to painting my bathroom (Smoky charcoal) even though Bill calls it "boat grey" of the submarine. I still love it- tough.

    1. Hi Patti!!! So glad you like these bracelets! Yes, Navy and White does sum it up!! When you've had a husband in the Navy it puts a different spin on Nautical doesn't it?! Ryan detests when I paint things gray, too. I painted our bathroom in our house in CA gray and he made me change it because he siad it was "battleship gray"... Guess when they look at it for months at sea they don't want to come home to it! HA! I'm about to paint wainscotting in my laundry a sort of smoky gray, too!!! Have fun with your project and good luck with this give away! Enter the others that will be popping up in the next day or two! xxxooo

  7. I love love love love anchor motifs. I grew up in upstate NY, I went to college in Vermont, and now I live in the UK with my husband... but he and I sail (our boat is called Scorpio), and he and I both adore anchors as lucky charms, and beautiful adornments. I love the Oliver Hazard bracelet, as its a stunning, simple bracelet with a dark red colour- perfect if I need to be found in a gale!
