I was asked about my opinion regarding Warby Parker’s new Fall Eyeglasses Line a few weeks ago and having
seen their stylish frames before but never having experienced the Warby way of
selecting frames, I thought it would be fun to test things out and see their new Fall styles in person! Several of my friends have commented to me about their positive experience with Warby's selection, service, price points and quality.
I selected my 5 frames online (it was tough, they have a HUGE selection), gave them my credit card (they didn't charge me) and the box arrived a few days later!
Let me now say, that I'm not a fashion blogger...but because finding your personal style is a big part of Commona My House and well, I have a weakness for all things Tortoise, I thought this would be fun!
But I typically take pics of light fixtures and pillows and DIYs and such and this is WAY out of my comfort zone to be sharing these selfies...so this should tell you how I feel about the Warby quality, selection and overall experience if I am so willing to put my non-makeup, non-filtered, iphone shots of me turning poses in my living room, out there...because I just so happen to think Warby Parker is the Bees Knees.
And go ahead, you can laugh out loud at my goofy expressions,
I sure did. My kids did, too.
Look at the glasses, that's all I can say.
Annette Petal Tortoise |
Crane Ti Newsprint Grey |
Baxter Ti Whiskey Tortoise |
Nash Crystal |
Chandler Ti English Oak |
After trying on the 5 glasses above, I narrowed it down to 4.
And I felt studious...maybe even smarter.
I narrowed it down to 2: Top Left and Bottom Right.
In the end, with my face shape, age and that love for all things tortoise, my favorite became sort of obvious to me.
Mostly because I wanted my vibe to be more Grace Kelly...
than Gregory Peck, if you know what I mean.
So, I took my Annette, Petal Tortoise pair for a spin at the local Book Store.
Since we're talking about SELECTIONS, I thought I'd share the first monthly installment of the
Commona My House Reading List!
Each month I'll share a book pick that I'd recommend to a friend to add to their list. My selections run all over the place. We're talking broad spectrum selections...so come back each month to see if one will appeal to you!
October's book pick is the kitchy, multi-faceted and entertaining read:
"Where'd you go, Bernadette"
