Lately, I've noticed, loved and been inspired by some incredible DIY Stencil transformations. And their not your mother's '80s or early '90s country stencils...no heart or bears or even fleur-de- lis here.
I highlighted the Quatrefoil pattern with previous stenciling posts:
Quatrefoil Stencil Roundup and Printable Stencil and
DIY Quatrefoil Stenciled Canvas Splat Mat or Table Cloth project.
And what I'm seeing are
geometrics that are
BIG, BOLD and COLORFUL stencil choices. If you're going to do it, really make a statement...GO BIG OR GO HOME.
So, I thought I'd share a little visual round-up today, on some other really fabulous DIY Stencil projects that are floating around in the blogosphere....and I think it is fabulous to see many of these stenciled creations in this golden mustard color...love it, too!

and in case that doesn't have you dreaming up a project..here is something to think about if you don't have a backsplash that you're in love with...you can paint a stencil on the wall behind your backsplash...or if you are a renter or not wanting to do anything permanent, you could cut a thin (Luan) wood board to size, stencil and then just pop the boards in for a fun, not at all permanent back splash in any look that is your style.
So whether you're thinking of going for an entire room, wall or something smaller scale like a piece of furniture...this is an affordable way to infuse a pop of character in your rooms.
