12 Days of Christmas Give Away Day #5: Retro Kitchen Timer
No matter what your kitchen or cooking style is, you can't go wrong with having a little fun infused into your kitchen tools. I've been married for 15 years and as my mother-in-law said to me the last time she came out to visit, 'you need a kitchen shower'! After all of our moves, I sort of have odds and ends and a 15 year old can opener isn't a great can opener to have, let me tell you. So the other day, I was checking out some basics for my kitchen and I came across this fantastic retro kitchen timer with a magnet on the back so you can stick it on your fridge or your oven itself. I fell for it. It comes in several other colors, but this one was the keeper....and there's one for you and one for me!
If you don't win, you can pick one up at several stores,
bed, bath and beyond,
amazon, and at a physical store location of Anthropology (it's not available on-line). They vary in $ from $11-$14 depending on the color: yellow, tomato, blue, and green!
You can see contest rules
here!
Try to win so you don't burn your biscuits!

Deletei want this! i need this. it's kind of a joke in our house that when i make cookies, i always burn at LEAST one sheet of cookies. i love the retro timer. and i'll most likely buy one for my stocking if i don't win... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Shannon, welcome!!! So glad you found Commona-my house! I always forget about rolls. We sit down to dinner and then I smell something burning and it dawns on me that I put rolls in the oven. Sorry you didn't win the timer...you have a great chance to win something this week. Keep coming back, and thanks again..I look forward to getting to know you!

thanks! Pinning got you 2 more entries yesterday! Hope you win something this week...several more days of exciting finds!
DeleteI need one of those for my Cooper. He needs a timer for everything to get anything done. And this one is adorable. I am completely non technologically advanced, and therefore dont know how to pin stuff or really anything else. I guess I need to figure that out
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren! That's a great idea to use with the kids. I am non-tech advanced as well, which is why I still need to figure out how to put a "pin it" tag on each post. working on it! Thanks for making the blog one of your stops!
DeleteOooh, you know how I love all things retro. I think I would use it to employ the Pomodoro method, where you work for 45 minutes and then take a break for 15 minutes. Because I could surely use some distraction control...somehow during "worktime" I end up on a blog like this! :)
ReplyDeleteKatie! Thanks for FBing me that this was YOU! I entered you for this and your other entries yesterday. I like your Pomodoro method ...you could work for 45 min and then come back here for 15, work for 45, come back here for 15! At least we get to "chat"! Glad you liked the timer- sorry you didn't win. Keep coming back for more give aways over the next several days, in addition to some interesting posts, too. :)
DeleteThis is great! I could be used for cooking/baking, putting your children in 'time out', letting everybody know that Mommy is putting herself in 'time out' until the timer goes off, so nobody's allowed to bother her, just so many things!
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't win, Melani. Guess that means you don't have to put kids in time out or bake any time soon. :)
DeleteDon't hate me...keep coming back!
I just pinned it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know I need to figure out how to put a cute little "pin it" button on the bottom of each post...working on it!
DeleteThanks for entering! Hope you're feeling well!
