Give Me the Goods Monday #16: Sunday Features!

Give Me the Goods Monday Features

It’s time for the features from last weeks GMTG party!
We are mixing things up a bit around here! Instead of doing a combined features post, each of the hosts is choosing 4 of their favorites and featuring on their blog!
What does this mean for you? More chances to be featured!! It means that all 4 of us will be selecting our favorite 4 features...so you have 16 chances to be featured. I'm really excited about this change for two BIG reasons: I ALWAYS have a tough time narrowing my picks down to only 2 favorites...I seem to always have 4 that I love...if not 40! The second reason why I love this reboot is because I now have the opportunity to share with you WHY I LOVE A FEATURE.  I won't just be selecting my favs, I'll be explaining why I love it and what I think about it.
So, be sure to check out the other host’s features after leaving here, because you may be on their features for the week!

Without further ado, here are my picks this week:

DIY Chandelier with Shade: McGyver Style from Bliss at Home

DIY chandelier with shade

sale items for light fixture

This is such a smart and economical way to update a not so great lighting fixture. This super fun "McGyver Style" tutorial, will have you walking around your house looking to see what you can do this to!!! PLUS, who wouldn't want to add Greek Key trim to a drum shade? I just LOVE this!!!

American Flag Mason Jars by Maison de Pax

Yes, it's not the 4th of July anymore, but pin this and save it for next year...or try your hand at this painting-mason-jars-idea and paint them in other colors and styles for other holidays and decor.  I'm sort of a mason jar purist... so this is the first painted mason jar idea that I like.  These from Maison de Pax are Summertime perfection!

DIY CHALKBOARD PLANT TABLE by Life on Sale

What a fun and quirky re-boot for a worn out table!!! Life on Sale has refashioned this as a plant table...but you could use this treatment on any table and of course, the chalkboard paint makes it a fun addition to any room. Having a get together? Write the names of your appetizers or drinks on the table! I even see this table with family photos, writing captions or sayings near each photo! And of course, there are always succulents! I can't wait to do something like this in my new house!

How to Keep Granite Clean, the EASY way, from Fresh Idea Studio

how to keep granite clean the easy way
kitchen flooring

I had to include this cleaning tip because my granite was always a mess. I used fancy expensive granite cleaner and that didn't seem to really make a difference, then I used Windex, which kept the granite sparkly, but I was still constantly cleaning it. Fresh Idea Studio says that the trick is an easy and cheap one!!! One that will keep your jam from sticking and that will leave your granite shiny and easy to clean up! Check out her secret!

Well, those are my 4 picks for the week!!!
XXXOOO.
