Vintage Paper Banners (Vintage Tea Party Paper Display)

I've been working on a few paper crafting party ideas for The Paper Crepe Party Tour.
It was a fun collaboration with Briana from Sweet Dreams are Made of These and I am excited to share with you a few of the displays that will be going with them to their events in Sacramento, Dallas and Chicago.
The challenge: to craft displays using only paper products and ribbons in various ways that could be shipped, used, packed over and over again! So using grandma's tea cups was out.
Here is one of our fun table displays.... Vintage Tea Party
I am a sucker for doilies and banners, aren't you?

Banners are everywhere these days.
They can be as simple or as ornate as you'd like them to be.
Here is how I made these simple yet special little banners.
1. Select a length of ribbon.
2. Cut shapes (triangles, pennants, rectangles, etc) and/or fold doilies in half
3. Run a length of adhesive on the paper shape/doily
4. Attach paper to ribbon. For fold over shapes, like the doilies above, you just run the ribbon under the fold.
THAT'S IT!!!
I love this sort of craft because you can come up with it on the fly if you have to. These little embellishments add so much to a party...or even just to have hanging in a girl's room, from a wreath, pretty much any where!
And if you don't have a wall for a backdrop for a party, hang one of these sweeties off the table as a swag!
It was fun being ultra-feminine with this little Vintage Tea Party display!
XXXOOO.

  1. thanks! It was fun to play with the doilies and come up with an entire display with just paper and ribbon! I got to be very feminine with this one and loved playing with the papers and frilly ribbons. Thanks for checking it out!
Getting excited about our Blue Christmas Hop and Christmas Tours coming up fast! XO.
